Since 1938, the Spokane Lilac Festival is a city-wide celebration highlighted by the annual Lilac Festival Torchlight Parade. Other events include, amateur golf tournament, junior lilac parade, air show and the largest timed foot race in the world. The parade starts on Washington and finishes on Spokane Falls. The Armed Forces Torchlight Parade is the largest of its kind in the nation with about 300 entries! People will line the streets of Spokane to wave at floats, enjoy regional bands and celebrate our heroes as they pass by. The parade starts at 7:45 pm, but prime viewing locations fill up quickly.

Since 1979. Maifest is based on the German tradition of welcoming the first spring wines and is the first major festival of the summer for the Tri-State region. The assortment of arts and crafts and international foods becomes the main course to attract approximately 125,000 visitors. Maifest fills over SIX city blocks along the tree-lined 6th Street Promenade, Main Street and Philadelphia Street, and extends into Goebel Park. The German park-like atmosphere creates the perfect backdrop for the variety of appealing food, drink and works by nearly 90 artisans and craftsmen. Be sure to visit our expanded Kinderplatz, full of adventures and rides for the small children. We are planning for more rides as well as new activities for children and families to enjoy together. And don't miss the Street Chalk Art Contest on Main Street Saturday. ?Plans are also being made to open the Clock Tower for guided tours. Since 1980, The Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts this FREE 2-day Music and Crafts Event and this year's event is shaping up to be our BEST ever. Once again, the Belly Up has lined up a great list of musicians to perform over the two day event; which also includes local community talent. We also have an expansive, fun and exciting Children’s Area set up for families to enjoy rides, games, a climbing wall and much more. We have included the beautiful Cedros Design District who will be celebrating on Cedros Avenue with live bands and shopping specials throughout the weekend. Parking options have been expanded, making it easier to park and catch a shuttle or simply walk from one of our convenient parking areas. All parking is FREE. Fiesta del Sol has something for everyone. Food Trucks along with other great specialty food vendors will be back as well as our Arts and Crafts area, Sponsor area, Solana Beach Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, and much more! We are also hosting a special place exclusively for local artists. The beer and wine gardens will be in full swing with the local Del Sol Lions Club returning to serve, while raising funds to support our local causes.

The Zappos.com Bay to Breakers Finish Line Festival comes to life as runners cross the finish line alongside Ocean Beach following the race.
