The Firefighters Fair involves the public as much as possible with competitive entries such as the demolition derby, baked goods competition and creative crafts. Stroll into the main exhibit building where vendors and State Statute 616.17 requirements are on display. BY chance you may see what your neighbor or friend has entered in a competitive exhibit like Canning, Creative Crafts and Baked Goods. The Firefighters’ Fair offers something for everyone, young and old. Since 1980, proceeds from our event have supported the Indian River County Burn Fund, Local High School Scholarships, Fairground Improvements, other Various Charitable Organizations, and for The Benefit Of Public Safety. The 2017 theme is “Your Fair, Your Fun”.

Held by the Horticultural Society in the City of Philadelphia for the promotion of this interesting and highly influential branch of Science. The fledging PHS boasted 80 members in 1827 but today the membership is ocer 23,000. The first Flower Show was held at the Masonic Hall on Chestnut Street, where the well-known Christmas favorite, the poinsettia, was introduced. Over the decades, the event has grown dramatically to become the nation's grandest Flower Show, attracting nearly 300,000 visitors annually.

Since 1976, "Calle Ocho” - Spanish for 8th Street, is the single largest celebration of Cuban culture in the United States. “El Festival de la Ocho”, as commonly known to many, closes down S.W. 8th Street (the most popular street in Little Havana), from 27th to 4th Avenues to span twenty-three city blocks. It is the world's largest street party filled with musical stages, youth sites, folkloric sites and food vendors. Broadcast by all major television networks and radio stations, photographed by international newspapers, magazines and filmmakers. Listen to a myriad of Latin music performers, dance, savor ethnic foods and take home bags full of products distributed by some of the largest corporations in America.

Since 1956, features marching units, color guards, several floats and more than 20 bands. Baltimore's St. Patrick Parade is truly the jewel in Maryland's emerald crown. Thousands of spectators from the region have crowded the streets and sidewalks of downtown Baltimore and the famous Inner Harbor to watch thousands more march and celebrate Irish culture, music, song, and dance. The Parade steps off at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Monument, proceeds down Charles Street and continues to Pratt Street and Market Place. Please be aware that the Shamrock 5K takes place at 1:15pm immediately before the parade. We recommend getting downtown before the start of the race to get the best parking and viewing spot.

Since 1967, The Cincinnati St. Patrick Parade is produced by the Cincinnati St. Patrick Parade Committee and Fountain Square Management Group. The committee is composed of residents from both Ohio and Northern Kentucky. •The Parade will start at Fifth and Sentinel Streets The route will travel west on Fifth St. to Plum St. It will turn south on Plum St. and go to Third St. It will turn west on Third St. and continue until ending at Third and Central Streets.
